Trina is an Accredited Family Mediator with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM), bringing over 30 years of experience in education to her mediation practice. As a specialist in Special Education and Social Emotional Learning, Trina draws on her experience supporting children and families, including those with complex needs, to help parents make thoughtful, child-centred decisions that prioritize their children’s well-being. Her warm, patient, and inclusive approach, combined with her ability to support difficult conversations and diffuse conflict, helps parents navigate separation and co-parenting challenges while creating practical Parenting Plans that reflect their family’s circumstances.

As a divorced parent of three, Trina understands the emotional and practical challenges families experience during separation and while adjusting to co-parenting. Her personal and professional experiences allow her to approach each family with empathy, understanding, and a child-centred perspective. Trina helps parents identify shared parenting principles to guide their conversations and provide a foundation for future decisions. These principles support discussions related to parenting time, holidays and vacations, extracurricular activities, decision-making responsibilities, communication, travel, child support, and other important aspects of their Parenting Plan. Through this process, Trina supports parents in creating agreements that work for their family and support their children’s well-being.
